As a cat mom, I have to prepare 3-5 bowls of water for her every day and put these bowls in different places in the house, including the doorway, hallway and balcony.
When I come back from work, I still find my baby drinking water from my cup or flowerpot instead of her water bowls. My cup is her water cup.
Gradually, I no longer have my own water cups and use disposable ones instead. Cat moms, do you use disposable water cups like I do?
Until one day I had to go on a short term business trip for 3 days and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to take care of my cat, so I prepared 10 bowls of water for him, no kidding!
Upon returning from the trip, I immediately checked the cat’s water bowl and found it empty, with only some cat food, cat hair impurities and dust.
Isn’t this 10 bowls of water enough for her?
Why are the bowls so dirty? The cat is lying in the sink waiting for
water to drink. So I immediately fetched water to feed it, my cat was so thirsty! She drank a lot of water. She used less cat litter than usual.
Apparently, my fur kids have been dehydrated lately. Poor kitty, I didn’t take good care of you. Luckily, my baby was just constipated and not sick.
But I’ve been busy and have to go on next business trip. It is necessary to get the cat a new water bowl that can hold a lot of water.
First, it must be able to provide enough water to drink for at least two or three days.
Secondly, the water bowl should keep the water clean. I checked out various cat water feeders on my computer.
Gravity water dispensers can hold plenty of water for my cat to drink for days, but they don’t keep the water clean.
Some picky cats will refuse to drink unclean water, but for the sake of my cat’s health, the picky cat mom like me decided to provide her with clean water.
So I bought him an electric cat water fountain that filters impurities and provides oxygenated water.
The kitten was scared of the water fountain at first, but cautiously tried it out. After washing her feet, she played with the water in the pet fountain and then ran over to drink.
With the cat’s drinking water secured, I was able to travel with confidence.
When I got back from my trip, I carefully cleaned all the parts of the cat drinking fountain. It is easy to maintain.

Although the automatic pet water fountain is motorized, it only requires 5V to operate, which is a safe, low voltage.
According to my vet’s advice, the filter in my cat’s water fountain should be changed monthly, but I change it about once a week, because there are food residues in the filter.
Incidentally, I’ve found that there’s another accessory that’s also very important for ensuring water quality: the filter sponge next to the pump. The filter sponge always catches cat hair. I change the filter sponge weekly too.
I usually change the water for my cats once a day. When I am too busy and tired at work, I will change the water for my cat once every two days.
So far, my cat is very healthy and naughty. She loves the water fountain and is very happy.
